Sanierung abgeschlossen: Straße zwischen Bibliothek und RESOWI-Zentrum wieder frei

Wasserdicht ist nun das Areal zwischen Hauptbibliotheksgebäude und dem RESOWI-Zentrum. Nach wiederholtem Wassereintritt in den vergangenen Jahren wurde das Straßenstück, unter dem sich Bücherspeicher der Bibliothek befinden, im Auftrag der Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft von Grund auf saniert. Platz wurde nicht nur für viele Fahrradabstellplätze geschaffen. Neu hinzugekommen sind kleine Bäume, die den Vorplatz attraktiver gestalten und Vögel sowie Insekten Unterschlupf bieten sollen.
